If you’re here, you’re probably looking for the filming locations of the Christmas movie “Three Wise Men and a Baby”. Without further ado, let’s find them! The production crew focused on the town of Langley in British Columbia and the surrounding area. At the end of the post, you’ll find a Google map with all the locations saved!

The Brenner family house

The Brenner brothers, all in their thirties, still live in their childhood home with their mother, Barbara Brenner. Luke has his bedroom upstairs, Taylor lives in the basement, while Stephan stays in an annex in the back yard.

The family home is the main setting for the story. While the house at 21785 86a Ave is easily recognizable, the interior is totally different from what we see on screen. Since it’s for sale, you can see what it looks like HERE. Obviously, this home was not used for the indoor scenes. I don’t know which one was used.

Mark La Clark’ s house

Mark La Clark is the annoying neighbor who lives across the street from the Brenners. The three brothers are not exactly fond of him. He takes the Christmas decorating contest very seriously, and finishes first every year.

This gorgeous house is right across the street from the Brenners’ at 21770 86a Ave.

Spruce Grove Fire Hall

Luke is a firefighter at the Spruce Grove municipal fire station. This is where Sophie drops off her baby, Thomas, right before Christmas.

This is a real fire hall, and it’s Fort Langley. The brigade’s real fire trucks are shown on screen (E-4550). A sticker with the logo of the fictional town of Spruce Grove is added. It’s also the garage and the interior of the building that host several scenes, which I recognized from pictures on the town’s website.

Spruce Grove grocery store

Taylor is the first to go there to buy baby supplies, although he has no idea what he needs. Then he goes back with Stephan, both of them getting emotional over Christmas ornaments before running into Fiona, who obviously has some questions. Later, Luke goes there and comes back home with the wrong baby.

It took me quite a while to find this supermarket. I wasn’t sure whether the indoor and outdoor scenes were shot in the same place. I’d noticed a Post Canada counter in some of the behind-the-scenes footage, so I searched one by one for post offices around Langley. Many of them are located in grocery stores, and then I recognized the exterior and main entrance of the Otter Co-Op. The interior was also confirmed, particularly by the blue signs indicating the aisles that can be seen in the baby section scene.

Spruce Grove Christmas Market

The iconic scene of the three brothers and the baby dressed as elves for a photo with Santa takes place at the Spruce Grove Christmas Market. Brenner brothers also go there to buy a Christmas tree.

The porch of the Krause Berry farm store and bar has been transformed into a Christmas market, but it’s easy to recognize the building’s blue walls and pretty solid wood door. Contrary to what the video editing suggests, the ice rink and grocery store are nowhere near.

The indoor ice rink

In the heart of the Christmas market is an indoor ice rink, and the three brothers come across Fiona and her niece getting ready to skate. She and Taylor have a quick chat, while Stephan and Luke are sorry that the pair is no longer an item. In a deleted scene, the three of them take to the ice with the baby stroller.

Another location that gave me a hard time, I searched with the “Ice Experience” and “Skater’s Chalet” labels seen on screen and on behind-the-scenes videos. Nothing came up. I noticed an arena in the back, so I directed my research to arenas with blue seats and an indoor rink. Eventually, I found the Abbotsford Recreation Center.

The bar

Taylor invites Christian for a beer in the hope of getting a job at his company.

The Krause Berry farm bar is the setting for this scene. Its counter, barrels and horse saddles as seats are quite original.

Luke Brenner’s house

Luke bought a house and has been renovating it for years. Meeting Sophie and confronting his brothers makes him realize it’s time to start living for himself. A year later, he welcomes the whole family for Christmas in his completed house.

It’s a good thing this house is a home builder’s model, otherwise I’m not sure I’d have found it. It’s not even visible on Google Street View because the neighborhood wasn’t developed in 2014. But the satellite view confirms the shape of the unit. The living room in the end scene is the house’s, too.

I couldn’t find…

The headquarters of Funnen Games, the video game design company where Taylor and Fiona work.

Susie’s house.

The park where Stephan walks his dog and meets Arnold from the animal shelter. Then where he trains Susie’s dog.

Sophie’s house.

Any idea?

  1. Spruce Grove is actually an official town in Alberta is very much loved and reminds me of this town! My daughter‘s father grew up there, and it was such a wholesome setting.
