about drinking coffee watching tv portrait of marine

Hi, it’s me Marine, founder and editor of Drinking Coffee, Watching TV. I’m a 34 year old French girl living in Canada, between Montreal and Vancouver, for the past 7 years. I can’t make up my mind of where home is. I’m often compared to Lorelai Gilmore (probably because of my caffeine addiction and sarcasm) or Monica Geller (I definitely have a cleaning and tidying problem). I add for my personal satisfaction that I have a Sydney Bristow touch, as she is beyond badass and I deeply admire her strength.

When I was a teenager, my dream was to become a TV script. I studied Film and Audiovisual Arts at University. But I quickly realized that France is not Hollywood and went on a most common career path. During 12 years of professional experiences, I have definitely lived many lives. First in France in Fashion and Haute Couture, then in the USA in Hospitality and after that in Canada in Professional Sports. But I also have a degree in Journalism and as Director of movie and TV productions. I write freelance as Travel and Tourism contributor. In 2017, I created a blog about being an expat in Montreal. It gets thousands of monthly visits which gives me a lot of work opportunities.

On a less formal note, I’m a hopeless romantic who never misses a romcom. And do not even get me started on Christmas movies! Like every European teenager of the 2000s, I was fascinated by American TV shows. I dreamed of having a high school locker, being a cheerleader and attending a prom. Of course, it never happened… So I made up for it by exploring the filming locations of my favorite fictions. Here you’ll find my very subjective thoughts about characters or series episodes, pictures of fake or real set tours, feedbacks and shared experiences of conventions.
