3 bed 2 bath 1 ghost filming location julie gonzalo chris mcnally

Who doesn’t want to see the on-screen chemistry of a real-life couple who first met on a movie set? Julie Gonzalo and Chris McNally, alongside the brilliant Madeleine Arthur, star in 3 Bed 2 Bath 1 Ghost. Their first movie since the more or less public announcement of their relationship by the birth of their daughter. It’s the story of two exes who find it hard to part, a ghost who haunts her family mansion for over 100 years and, above all, a catchy 20s Charleston vibe. At the end of the post, you’ll find a Google map with all the locations listed!

Ruby Baker’s Mansion

Anna has been assigned the sale of a splendid mansion that breathes the spirit of the 1920s. After five listings and five fails, she accepts the challenge to prove herself to her father, the estate agency director, as she has just obtained her real estate license. However, the ghost of Ruby Baker still lives there and is determined to ruin the sale. Anna is the only one to see her, and the two women develop a close friendship as they attempt to restore the house to its former glory.

This impressive property is known as the Copper Stone Mansion, which was once open to the public, but is now privately owned. Riverdale fans will recognize that this is also the home of the Blossom family. The exterior and interior scenes appear to have been shot on location (or possibly rebuilt in a studio); I was unable to find any photos of the mansion’s interior.

Anna and Elliot’s office

Anna is moving her things out of the office she previously shared with her ex when she bumps into a neighbor, Josephine, with whom she strikes up a conversation. Elliot, back from Boston, also happens to be around, and the situation is somewhat awkward.

The rear façade of the Young Building, which is located in a cul-de-sac, is used in this scene. The front façade is located at 9084 Glover Road in Fort Langley.

Vazquez Real Estate

The firm where Anna works with her colleague Terrence, a company owned by her father Garrett Jenkins.

The architecture of both her father’s agency and Anna’s former office look very similar, and that’s no surprise since it’s part of the same complex. Both locations are just a few metres apart. And it’s actually the headquarters of a real estate developer.

Seaside Public Library

Anna decides to go to the public library and research Ruby’s life. There she meets Elliot, who was at the Historical Preservation Society next door.

It’s a real library, freshly renovated, the Norma Marion Alloway Library of Western Trinity University.

The Brewing pot

This local coffee shop seems to be the place where everyone goes to grab a beverage or socialize. Anna, her father and Elliot are regulars. Later, Anna and Elliot meet there to try to put an end to their relationship once and for all.

You have to drive a few miles to find this cafe, Oldhand Coffee, which is not at all in the same town or location as the outdoor scenes on Main Street. I wonder why the production used this location. It’s quite possible that the antique store is nearby, but I haven’t been able to identify it.

Anna’s parking spot and Seaside Main Street

Ruby finally leaves her imprisoned mansion to explore the modern world. She joins Anna as she drives downtown in her red convertible to meet Elliot at the café.

The two actresses and Chris stroll along 176 Street in the historic centre of Cloverdale, a district of Surrey. You can see the old vintage cinema, the CLOVA Theater but above all the Murray Motors mural. Julie parks in front of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation.

The 115th Garden State Fall Fair

On their way out of the antique store, Anna and Elliot come across a fair dedicated to fall. Ruby, who is also there, wistfully recognizes the fair she used to go to with her fiancé Charlie. Elliot and Anna play at some of the booths

Hawthorne Square is right behind 176 St in Cloverdale. It has been entirely decorated for the scene.

Seaside Town Hall

Anna goes to the Town Hall to support Elliot, who is attending the deliberation on whether or not the Fletcher Building, which he is defending, will be demolished. Anna leaves the room to take a call from her father in the lobby. Later, Anna returns to fill out the Baker Mansion preservation application.

The exterior shots and lobby are the Robert G. Kuhn Centre, a renovated building at Trinity Western University. The deliberation scene was surely shot in a room on site. The wooden columns match the photographs on the University’s website.

I couldn’t find…

The antique store where Anna and Elliot shop for vintage decor. I have the feeling that this is a real furniture or home decor place. Although it’s quite possible that all the items are props and the place is a basic rental space.

The restaurant where Anna and Elliot have dinner, the facade with the fake neon The Carlisle is the Fairmont Empress hotel in Victoria. The interior, although quite original, didn’t work out for me. It’s either a restaurant or a bar.

Any idea?

If you feel tempted to walk in the footsteps of Julie Gonzalo and Chris McNally, here are all the locations previously mentioned on a map around Langley, British Columbia. Don’t hesitate to share your exploration with me in the comments.

  1. I am a huge Hallmark movie fan. I am very picky. Not all of the movies make it to my editing floor:)
This one truly did. I love the energy, the throw back to an era that was so vibrant and fun. There is such a sweetness between Julie and Chris. I was crying throughout the movie and really dropping tears at the end.
This is the Gold standard we’ve come expect from Hallmark.
The location, the mansion is great!

Hello- I am really hoping you can tell me where that bridge was in the first scene of the present times. After it said “100 years later” they flashed to a scene with a town road turning into an amazing bridge into the fog…. Help!!
